๐ก Practical Signing Tips
We embed signatures as high-resolution transparent vector layers. Your original document's text and formatting remain 100% crisp.
Placed an annotation in the wrong spot? Simply drag it across the canvas to adjust position before downloading.
The drawing canvas responds naturally to iPad, tablet, and smartphone touchscreens for a clean pen-on-paper feel.

High-Performance Vector Pipeline
The BWTools signature studio utilises PDF.js for high-precision viewport rendering and pdf-lib for low-level document tree mutation. When compiling your document, annotations are translated from CSS viewport coordinates to native PDF coordinate points (72 DPI points with an inverted Y-axis origin). Text elements are embedded directly using native Helvetica font streams, while signatures are encoded into lossless PNG image XObjects.
| Annotation Tool | Embedding Mechanism | Coordinate Mapping | Document Resolution | Privacy Guarantee |

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I drag and reposition annotations after placing them?
Yes. Once placed on the document canvas, any signature, text input, checkmark, or date stamp can be dragged freely to fine-tune its position before final export. You can also remove individual annotations by clicking their red delete icon.
Does signing rasterise or reduce the quality of my PDF document?
No. The tool does not convert your document pages into flat image files. It embeds your annotations directly into the original PDF structure, preserving all original vector paths, typography, and searchable text layers.
Is my signature or document uploaded to any server?
Never. All signature drawing, canvas positioning, and binary PDF assembly execute 100% inside your local web browser. No files, signatures, or personal data ever leave your machine.
